Privacy policy

If the French and English versions differ, the French version prevails.
In short
- aidock does not keep the text of your conversations. Your message goes to the provider of the chosen model, which answers, and aidock keeps no copy.
- Your chat history stays in your browser. It is never sent to us.
- No advertising cookies, no tracking.
- We do not sell any personal data.

The chat, Duel, Pilot and assistant
When you send a message, aidock passes it to the provider of the AI model that will answer. This provider receives:
- the messages of the current conversation (the last 20 at most);
- instructions from aidock: answer in your language, stay concise, today’s date;
- if you use the assistant on a page, the text of that page (1,500 characters at most).
aidock keeps neither your messages nor the answers. The server’s technical logs only contain the provider’s name, the type of error and the response code, never the text.
Shield: on by default, it replaces emails, phone numbers, IBANs, IP addresses, card, social security, SIREN, SIRET and VAT numbers, and the names you list with markers such as [EMAIL 1] in your browser, before sending. The provider receives the markers, not the values. Names and health data are not detected automatically. This is pseudonymisation: the rest of the text may still identify someone. You can turn it off in the chat.
Every answer shows the model, the provider and the place of processing. If the provider may reuse your messages to train its models, an alert warns you before your first message to that model. The automatic model choice only uses models with no training on your messages.
Do not enter personal, health or confidential data.
Legal basis: providing the service you ask for. The provider handles your messages under its own rules, summarised below.

Your conversation history
Your conversations are saved in your browser, in a local database (IndexedDB, named "aidock-chat"). They are not sent to aidock, even with an account, and they do not move from one device to another. You can export or delete them from the chat, or by clearing the site’s data in your browser.
The learning path, level tests and the coach
Your progress (lessons completed, days of activity, tests passed and verified levels) is saved in your browser. When you are signed in, it is also copied to your account (see "Your account").
- Exercises: your request is checked in your browser. "Try with AI" sends it to an AI model, like the chat (see above).
- Coach feedback: your request is sent to an AI model for comments, as in the chat. aidock does not keep the text.
- Level tests: questions are drawn and your answers graded by aidock’s server.
- Verified level: it is a link signed by aidock. The link itself contains the name you typed, the level, the score and the date: anyone who has the link can see them. Level earned in an online test on aidock. It is not a state-recognised professional certification.
Legal basis: providing the service you ask for.
Your account
The account is free and optional. It keeps your progress and saved tools on all your devices, gives you a verified level when you pass a level test, 100 messages a day instead of 10 and the Pilot (10 runs a day).
- Data saved: email address, name if you give it, language, newsletter choice, creation and last sign-in dates, and your Google account identifier if you sign in with Google.
- Sign-in by email: you receive a single-use link, valid for 15 minutes, sent by Brevo (a French email service). aidock only keeps a fingerprint of it: a code calculated from the link that cannot be turned back into the link.
- Session: once you are signed in, a cookie keeps your session for 30 days. Here too, only a fingerprint is saved.
- Sync: your progress on the learning path, your saved tools and your preferences (64 KB at most) are saved with your account, so you find them on all your devices.
- Sign-in with Google (optional): Google sends us your verified email address, your name and an account identifier. Google handles this data under its own rules.
Legal basis: providing the service you ask for. Retention: as long as the account exists. An account with no sign-in for 3 years is deleted automatically, with all its data.
From the Account page, you can download all your data (JSON file) or delete your account. Deleting it erases the account, sessions, synced data, usage counters and sign-in links.
Free usage limits
To keep the service free for everyone, aidock counts messages: 10 a day without an account, 100 with a free account. Counters reset at midnight, Paris time.
- Without an account, a random anonymous identifier is saved in a cookie ("__Host-aid_a", 180 days). It contains no information about you.
- Your IP address is never saved as such: aidock calculates a fingerprint of it with a secret key that changes every day. This limits abuse when cookies are cleared.
- Daily counters are deleted after 3 days. Short-lived counters also limit messages sent too quickly.
Legal basis: legitimate interest (keeping a free service usable by everyone and preventing abuse).
Anonymous performance measurements
For each answer, aidock saves one anonymous line: the model, the provider, the response time, the number of tokens produced (a token is a piece of a word), success or failure, the category of the request and the language. No text, no identifier, no IP address. These measurements feed the Barometer and are deleted after 90 days.
Legal basis: legitimate interest (measuring and improving the quality of the service).
Duel votes
When you vote, aidock saves the result (A, B, tie or both bad), the two models, the category, the language, the day and the reasons you tick. The vote is linked neither to your account nor to your anonymous identifier, and it never contains your messages.
Votes feed the Barometer ranking. Their statistics, always anonymous and grouped, may be published or sold, for example to researchers or businesses. Your messages never are.
Legal basis: legitimate interest (comparing models transparently).
Business forms
aidock Team waitlist, requests for support, a report or a partnership: aidock saves your email and, if you give them, your name, your company, its size, the chosen offer and your message, with the date of your consent. A copy may be emailed to the publisher so we can reply.
Legal basis: steps before a contract or legitimate interest (answering your request). Retention: 3 years after the last exchange.
Newsletter
The newsletter is sent with Brevo, a French company. Your subscription is confirmed by email (double opt-in). Data: email address, date and proof of your consent.
Legal basis: consent. Retention: until you unsubscribe (every email has a link), then deleted within 30 days.
aidock adds no open or click tracking to its emails.
Bot check
On the chat and forms, aidock may ask you to pass a Turnstile check, Cloudflare’s anti-bot tool. It analyses technical information from your browser to check that you are not a robot. It is used for security only, never for advertising. Once the check is passed, a cookie ("__Host-aid_h") avoids repeating it for 2 hours.
Legal basis: legitimate interest (security of the service).
Audience measurement
No audience measurement is active on aidock.
What stays on your device
Your progress on the learning path, your saved tools, the self-assessment, the compliance kit, and your theme and model choices are saved in your browser’s local storage. They do not leave your device, except your progress and saved tools when you are signed in (see "Your account"). The details are on the Cookies page.
Recipients and processors
- Cloudflare, Inc. (United States): hosting of the website, server and database, bot check. Safeguards: EU-US Data Privacy Framework (recertification under review) and standard contractual clauses. The database is located in Western Europe.
- AI model providers (list above): only what you send to the chat.
- Brevo (France): sign-in emails and newsletter.
- Google (United States): only if you choose to sign in with Google.
No data is passed to a vendor listed in the Index without your explicit consent, given for that named vendor.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete or port your data, ask for processing to be restricted, or object to it. You can withdraw your consent at any time, for example for the newsletter. With an account, the Account page lets you download and delete your data yourself. For anything else, write to contact@aidock.fr: we reply within one month.
If you think your rights are not respected, you can complain to the CNIL, the French data protection authority: cnil.fr (new tab).
Minors
aidock is meant for adults and professionals. If you are under 15, ask a parent for permission before creating an account.
Changes
This page may change, for example when a model provider changes. The update date is shown at the top of the page.
