Our method
An aidock listing says where its facts come from and when they were checked. When we do not know, we say so.
What a listing contains
- The price of the first paid plan, with the currency, the period and whether tax is included when the vendor says so.
- Where the data is hosted: in the European Union by default, as an option, outside the EU, or on your own servers (self-hostable).
- Whether your content is used to train AI models, with consumer and business plans told apart.
- The data processing agreement: the contract required by article 28 of the GDPR between your business and the vendor.
- The interface language, a point of caution, how-to steps and a starter prompt.
- The sources consulted, the check date and anything that could not be confirmed.
Evidence levels
| Level | What it means |
|---|---|
| A | Tested by aidock: aidock has used the tool in real conditions. |
| B | Official sources checked: price, hosting, training and contract taken from the vendor’s pages, with links. |
| C | Partly checked: official sources consulted, but at least one key fact (hosting, training or contract) is still unknown. |
| D | Not checked: imported or unfinished listing, not to be used for decisions. |
So far, 21 listings are at level B. Level C and D listings can still be read, but they are not offered to search engines until they are checked.
The aidock score
Score = 35% data (hosting and training) + 25% contract (data processing agreement) + 15% French language + 25% reliability of the listing (evidence and freshness).
It does not measure the quality of the tool’s answers, its popularity or its value for money. Unknown hosting, training or contract: no score. Unknown language: zero.

Updates
Every week, AI agents reread the vendors’ pricing, privacy and terms pages. They suggest changes, with the source. A person approves every change before it is published. After thirty days, a listing shows "to be rechecked".
The chat models and the Barometer
The model catalogue was checked on 11 October 2026 against each provider’s official documents. For each model, it gives the company that runs it, where processing happens, how long messages are kept, whether they are used for training and the safeguards for transfers outside the European Union, with sources.
Every chat answer carries this information. A model whose provider may reuse your messages carries the "May train" alert, and aidock warns you before your first message.
The automatic model choice follows the task and availability, and only uses models with no training on your messages.
The Barometer measures speed and availability on real requests, and counts the votes from blind duels. A model’s statistics appear after 20 measurements over 7 days, and the ranking after 100 votes. No conversation text is kept.
To judge the overall quality of models, also look at compar:IA (new tab), the French public comparison platform. aidock links to it and does not claim to replace it.
Lessons and levels
Each lesson starts from a work situation in a small business and ends with an exercise. Your request is checked in your browser against a list of criteria: the words expected, the ones to avoid, the length, and no email, phone number, IBAN or other number spotted by the Shield.
"Try it with AI" sends your request to a real free model, like the chat, after the Shield has done its work. The coach’s feedback also comes from an AI model, chosen among those that do not train on your messages: it can be wrong.
The level test has 8 questions, drawn by the server from a question bank for each level. You need at least 6 right answers to pass. Grading happens on the server. The result shows your score and, if you fail, the level’s lessons to review.
With an account, a passed test gives a verified level: a link signed by aidock, which contains the name you typed, the level, the score and the date. aidock does not check your identity. Without an account, you have 7 days to create one and get your verified level.
Experience points reward regular practice: 10 per lesson completed, 5 more when you try your request with a real model, 50 per test passed.
Level earned in an online test on aidock. It is not a state-recognised professional certification.
Independence
- A paid placement is always labelled "Sponsored". It changes neither the score nor the evidence level, and it never appears in the comparison tables of the task pages.
- If a link earns a commission, the listing says so right under the link: "Partner link: aidock may earn a commission if you subscribe. It changes neither the score nor the order of tools."
- Texts are written with the help of AI, then reviewed and approved by a person.
